Financial Aid

The National Association of Independent Schools’ Guiding Principles for Families acknowledges that the responsibility for funding an independent school education primarily rests with the family.
However, King's Ridge Christian School recognizes the financial commitment that families make when choosing an independent Christian school for their children.

KRCS is privileged to offer need-based financial aid to qualifying families. Both current KRCS families and applicant families are welcome to apply for financial aid.

List of 3 items.

  • Eligibility

    • Financial aid is awarded based on the demonstrated need of the parent's financial situation. Student performance in academics, fine arts, or athletics does not influence eligibility for financial aid.
    • All families must pay a portion of the costs for their child to attend KRCS.
    • Additionally, tuition refund insurance is required for all families receiving financial aid, even if they are paying their portion in full.
    • "Demonstrated need" is defined as the difference between the tuition cost and the recommended amount a family can make toward the student's education. This assessment considers factors such as net income, assets, number of dependents, the number of children attending tuition-charging institutions, and any unusual expenses, such as medical costs or educational debt.
  • Financial Aid Notes

    • Financial aid is awarded on a one-year basis, so parents must apply each year to be considered.
    • Candidates who miss deadlines or fail to submit all required documentation risk not being considered for financial assistance. Financial aid is prioritized as follows: parents of current students receiving financial aid, parents of current students newly applying for financial aid, and recently enrolled students. Missing a deadline may jeopardize your priority consideration.
    • The Financial Aid Committee maintains strict confidentiality regarding financial aid files. Consequently, faculty and students are not informed of financial aid decisions. Families must also respect this confidentiality and refrain from disclosing the amount or designation of a financial aid award. Failure to do so may jeopardize the continuation of the award.
    • Current KRCS families applying for financial aid must complete re-enrollment documentation and submit a deposit for the upcoming year to be considered for financial assistance.
    • Tuition refund insurance is required for all families receiving financial aid, even if they are paying their portion in full.
    • King's Ridge Christian School does not discriminate in awarding financial aid based on an applicant's race, color, creed, sex, or national origin.
