Why did you choose KRCS for your child(ren)?
We chose KRCS for Elise because we wanted a strong Christian education paired with small class sizes and exceptional academics. We also value that KRCS offers a PK–12 education, allowing Elise to grow in a consistent, faith-based environment throughout her entire academic journey.
What do you love most about KRCS?
This is a hard question because there is so much we love about KRCS. We love the teachers, staff, academics, Bible-based curriculum, athletics, and, most importantly, the community. We have loved every one of Elise’s teachers. Each year, her teachers have felt thoughtfully chosen and perfectly matched to her personality and learning needs. They go above and beyond to communicate with us, provide extra support when needed, and challenge her in all the right ways. They are also open to parent input and truly partner with us to help Elise thrive.
Every staff member we have encountered over the past five years has been kind, welcoming, and knows our family by name. That personal connection is incredibly impressive and meaningful to us. KRCS truly takes the time to know the whole family, not just the student.
Providing a biblical curriculum was very important to our family, and KRCS has exceeded our expectations in that area. We have also met amazing friends through KRCS, friends who have become like family. The support system and sense of community KRCS has provided are truly beyond words. We also love the wide variety of sports and clubs offered. Elise has had the opportunity to explore many different interests and discover new passions.
What is one word that describes our school? Tell us why you chose that word.
One word to describe KRCS is community. KRCS offers a feeling of being truly known, supported, and cared for. It’s people who walk alongside you in everyday moments and in life’s biggest seasons. Community is showing up for one another, celebrating joys together, offering help without being asked, and creating a place where your family feels safe, valued, and connected. It’s more than shared space; it’s shared life. We feel blessed to be part of the KRCS community.
Describe one of your favorite teachers or staff members and the impact they have had on your student’s life.
Ms. Clinton has been an incredible part of Elise’s life, both academically and personally. She has been a tremendous source of support, served as Elise’s Christian Education teacher in Lower School, and even baptized her at our church in 2024. Her impact on Elise’s faith and growth has been truly special and lasting.
How is KRCS preparing your child for God’s call on their life, including hopes, plans, and dreams for college, career, and/or community?
Elise often says, “I want to be a disciple.” KRCS has equipped her with a strong knowledge of the Bible, modeled service and kindness, and consistently emphasized loving others. Elise dreams of becoming a pediatrician and working with children. She has a natural desire to help people, and KRCS has nurtured both her academic goals and her heart for serving others.
What would you tell another parent to encourage them to consider enrolling their child at KRCS?
I would wholeheartedly recommend KRCS to any family. I truly light up when people ask where Elise goes to school because it gives me the opportunity to share how wonderful the teachers, staff, curriculum, athletics, and small class environment are. Elise has thrived at KRCS, and the friendships and community we have gained have been life-changing for our family. In the past five years, there has not been a single day that Elise has not wanted to go to school, and that speaks volumes.
