BLOG: Rooted in Christ

So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in Him, rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness. – Colossians 2:6-7

The fall season at King’s Ridge Christian School reminds us that growth begins below the surface. Trees that stand tall and strong in the storms of life are the ones whose roots go deep, nourished by truth, strengthened by time, and anchored in rich soil.

In the same way, our children need deep spiritual roots. They need to be grounded in a faith that does not shift with culture, fear, or uncertainty.

At King’s Ridge, we are intentional about nurturing those roots every single day. Whether it is through a math problem that reveals God’s order, a literature discussion that uncovers truth through story, or a prayer shared before an athletic or fine arts event, our purpose remains the same: to help students become rooted in and built up in Him. We want our children to see that learning and faith are not separate worlds but deeply connected realities that shape who they are becoming.

Christian education is not simply an alternative; it is a calling. It is the recognition that the most important lessons we teach are eternal ones. When your children walk these halls, they are not just learning about science, art, or history. They are learning how to see God’s hand in every part of creation and life. They are learning that knowledge without wisdom is empty, but wisdom rooted in Christ produces fruit that endures.

As we approach Thanksgiving, my heart is full of gratitude for the partnership we share as parents, teachers, and leaders in this mission. Together, we are cultivating something sacred: a generation that stands firm in faith, that loves deeply, and that serves boldly. Thank you for entrusting us with the sacred work of planting and watering seeds that will bear fruit for eternity.

May we continue to live rooted and built up in Him, overflowing with thankfulness for all that God is doing in and through the lives of our students.

With gratitude and grace,

Dr. Tony Fajardo
