Lower School families choose King’s Ridge Christian School because they want a school that will partner with them as they raise their young learners. One of the most meaningful ways we support that partnership is through the work of our Lower School Counselor, Mrs. Zalubowski, who plays an essential role in caring for our students' hearts and minds.
As part of the regular Lower School schedule, students participate in Guidance Class, a “specials” course that teaches important life skills such as problem-solving, cooperation, kindness, and test-taking strategies. Every lesson is rooted in a Christ-centered perspective, helping students understand how their choices and actions reflect their growing character.
A key strength of our program is small group counseling, offered once a week during the school day for students who may benefit from additional encouragement and support. These groups create a safe and welcoming space to develop social skills, confidence, emotional awareness, and coping strategies for real-life challenges.
Through both classroom lessons and small group experiences, Mrs. Zalubowski helps students discover the unique strengths God has given them. Her thoughtful guidance encourages every child to face challenges with faith, compassion, and resilience, shaping a strong foundation for their growth at KRCS.
